High Speed Internet
Advantage Computers Enterprises, Inc., has been assisting clients in setting up communications with their branches offices for over 20 years. Our first installations involved 4-wire dedicated lease lines for serial communications. Our technicians have also set up WAN's (Wide Area Network) using Point-to-Point connections utilizing T1/Fractional T1 lines. T1/Fractional T1 lines are very stable, but their cost can be prohibitive. Over the last several years, we have setup branch communications using a mixture of DSL Internet service, Cable Internet service, T1 Internet service, and Wireless Internet service using VPN (Virtual Private Network). VPN's create a virtual tunnel via the Internet to another location. All traffic between the two locations is encrypted and can only be used by the two locations. This allows banks to make use of more economical options to connect their branches. When properly configured, the VPN connections are safe, secure, and stable.
